ABOUT US
Our Mission
To provide the children entrusted to our care, all the support they need to bring about the blossoming of their unique individualities. And to foster their growth toward a life filled with wisdom and happiness and a life-lasting love of learning.
Maria Montessori
Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and educator, left an indelible mark on the field of education with her innovative approach to child development.
In 1907, her fascination with the potential of children's minds led her to open the first Casa dei Bambini, or Children's House, in Rome. Montessori's educational philosophy was deeply rooted in the belief that children are naturally curious, and her revolutionary teaching method emphasized fostering independence, self-discipline, and a love for learning.
Today, her legacy endures as Montessori schools worldwide continue to embrace her philosophy, nurturing generations of children who thrive in environments that celebrate individuality and foster a lifelong passion for learning.
A Message from Marta Garcia,
Sunrise Montessori Founder
Sunrise Montessori has been serving families in Bountiful and Layton since 1993 and 1999, respectively.
We offer an authentic Montessori program to our children and consequently, they blossom academically and socially. They become excellent readers, great spellers, and develop beautiful penmanship.
The success of the children is due, in great part, to the preparation of our teachers and the artful organization of the environment.
The schools are fully licensed with the state of Utah and go through an inspection twice a year. We have continuously satisfied all standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
